The Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Pam Gaither has accepted the role of executive director. She succeeds Jessica Linder Gallo, who left Galesburg in August to take the reins of the Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce in Aurora, Illinois.

Gaither brings to the chamber a wealth of marketing and business development experience. Previously, she worked for Kindred Healthcare as Supervisor of Community Relations. Gaither has also worked in marketing for Galesburg Broadcasting Company and The Register-Mail, and most recently for F&M Bank.

“We’re excited to have Pam lead the chamber into the new year,” adds Chris Bayer, chairman of the chamber’s board of directors. “She has 15 years of progressive experience in marketing, sales, and customer relations. She knows Galesburg and our business community well, and I am looking forward to working with her to promote the success of Galesburg business.”

Gaither adds, “I am excited to join the chamber at this point in their more than 120 years of history here in Galesburg. I look forward to helping our local businesses grow and succeed in the years ahead.”

The chamber conducted an extensive search for the new executive director with a search committee that included representatives from the membership and the chamber’s board of directors.

Gaither is married to her husband Bill and is the mother of two boys. She will begin her duties on December 16, 2019.
