The Orion 10 & 32 Tip-Off Classic crowned its champion on Saturday night. The host Orion Chargers defeated Sherrard 63-43 in the title game. Josh Johnson led Orion with 18 points. The Monmouth-Roseville Titans took on Abingdon-Avon for 3rd place. Monmouth-Roseville led 33-27 at the half and 50-48 late in the game, before A-Town’s Kaden Jones hit a big 3-pointer, giving the Tornadoes the lead at 51-50. Abingdon-Avon would eventually get a 55-52 victory. Rashaun King led Monmouth-Roseville with 26 points. Jones led the Tornadoes with 17. In other games from Orion, Ridgewood beat Alleman 56-49 for 5th place and it was Erie-Prophetstown 49-23 for 7th. Monmouth-Roseville’s Quincy Talivaa and Ryan Adolphson from Abingdon-Avon were named to the 6-man All-Tournament team. The Monmouth-Roseville JV squad lost to Erie-Prophetstown 53-34 in the championship game of the fresh-soph tournament. Conner Thompson led Monmouth-Roseville with 20 points.

The Galesburg Silver Streak boys went (4-0) in their Thanksgiving Tournament over the weekend. The Streaks won their final game on Saturday night over Champaign Central, 52-40. Jaylin McCants scored 20 points to lead Galesburg. McCants and his teammates Eric Price and Alex Egipciaco were all named to the All-Tournament team.

The Macomb Bombers fell to Jacksonville 32-27 in their final game of the Crimson Classic in Jacksonville on Saturday. The Bombers go (0-3) for the tournament.

The Knoxville Blue Bullet boys got their season off to a great start with a (3-1) run through the Brimfield Turkey Tournament. The Bullets tied with Tremont and Princeville for the tournament championship.

Also getting tournament titles on Saturday were the Elmwood Trojans. Trojans went (5-0) in the Wally Keller Invitational at Wethersfield High School. Farmington won the Fulton County Tournament at Lewistown with a (5-0) record for the week and West Hancock was also undefeated at (3-0) in the BPC Spartan Classic in Bushnell.

The ROWVA/Williamsfield Invitational has one more night to go tonight in Williamsfield but Henry-Senachwine has already clinched the championship. Henry is (3-1) coming into their game against Galva tonight. The United Red Storm got a 59-42 win over West Central on Saturday to also bring their record to (3-1) but Henry beat United earlier in the week to clinch the head-to-head tiebreaker. West Central dropped to (2-2) with the loss. Nolan Leffler led United with 19 points on Saturday. Jordon Roller and Nathan Bigger both had 11 points to lead West Central in scoring. Tonight on the tournament’s final night schedule is West Central vs. Riverdale at 5:00, Henry vs. Galva at 6:30 and United vs. ROWVA/Williamsfield at 8:00.
