The Farm Service Agency is offering a general sign-up for the Conservation Reserve Program, or CRP. Scott James with the FSA offers the benefits to enrolling:
“The program sign-up is a great opportunity for farmers and land owners to enroll portions of their production acres into a program that conserves the soil, improves water quality, and helps out the wildlife. So with the program sign-up, the CRP sign-up we have going on right now, we are really excited about the opportunity to get more habitat and conservation cover on the landscape to help out our natural resources,” Scott reports.
For more information, contact the FSA office at 734-9308.
The deadline for the voluntary sign-up is Friday, February 28th.
