MPD December 2019 Monthly Report

During the month of December in 2019, the Monmouth Police Department made 60 arrests, had 1,866 calls for service, 2,781 calls to dispatch, responded to 20 accidents, and reported 38 grant hours worked. Comparing those numbers to December of 2018, 68 arrests were conducted, there were 1,187 calls for service, 2,221 calls to dispatch, 15 accidents, and 31.5 grant hours worked.

Last month the department also partook in conducting an active shooter training at Smithfield, Cops and Kids, Power For Seniors, distributing hams to those in need during the holiday season, and new patrol rifles were purchased for patrol cars.

All officers and dispatchers were trained in CPR and AED and held preparation and planning of mental health training for officers and spouses that will take place in February.
