Kenneth E. “Kenny” Davis, 77, of Galesburg, died at 3:37 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2020, in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

He was born July 15, 1942, in Persifer Twp., Knox County, the son of Amer and Mary (Mattson) Davis.  He married Judy Morris on January 12, 1985.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judy; daughters, Amanda Davis of Galesburg, Linda Ledbetter of Wataga, Mary (Pete) Grimes of Wataga, Jennifer Davis of Kirkwood, Barbara (Bret) Sargeant of East Galesburg, and Becky Sabotta of Galesburg; a son, Jeff Gabel of Galesburg; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; four brothers, Amer “Leroy” Davis of Smithfield, Gerald “Shorty” Davis of Yates City, Carl (Shirley) Davis of Rio, and Chuck Davis of Humansville, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Jean Ehens of Arroyo Grande, California and Pauline (Steve) Albritton of East Peoria; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Kenny worked at Admirals for 37 ½ years before retiring.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and working of cars.  He and Judy always enjoyed hosting their family fish fry.

Due to social distancing limitations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a private family graveside service at Trenton Cemetery, near Dahinda, on Friday, April 3, 2020.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is handling arrangements for the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
