As restaurants and other businesses in Iowa were able to start reopening this past weekend, Illinois residents have made the trip across the river for sit down dining as the stay at home order in Illinois remains in effect through the end of May. Jim Jennison of The Drake restaurant in Burlington, states they are open and busy serving customers:

“We are doing sit down dining again. A lot came to visit us. We have our challenges. We are at reduced seating capacity as we have to keep a certain amount of space between everybody. It is tricky taking reservations, but we take them. You have to be a little patient with us as they phone rings a lot, so you might have to call once or twice to get through. We have the whole menu again, we have all our specials, and happy hour Monday through Friday, shares Jennison.

In Iowa, as part of their phased reopening, theaters, casinos, and bars will remain closed until Wednesday, May 27th.
