Ella J. Teel Hank, 79, of Monmouth, IL, passed away 9:27 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth IL.
She was born on September 18, 1940 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Charles and Vera (Crawford)Wilson. She was raised and educated in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1958.
Ella married Roger Teel in April 30, 1960 and later Leland Duane Hank in September 16,1986.
Ella loved working with the public. She was a member since 1973 and three-time President of the Fraternal Orders of Eagles in Monmouth, Il and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Her passion was working on benefits, helping people, running the kitchen, and playing bingo. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
Her greatest loves in her life were her children; Donald Wilson, Roganne (Cort) Chambers, Rodney (Bev) Teel, Guy Teel, Gary Teel, and Leland “Spud” (Sandra) Hank. She had special love for her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and two “special daughters” Sheri Peoples-Jamieson and Pam Perry. She is also survived by her husbands, one sister Karen Cassiday, and two step-children Shawn (Connie) Hank of North Dakota and Bill (Chrissy) Hank of Aledo, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Evelyn Uhlenburg and Bertha Wilson; brothers, Everett Gossett, Shorty Wilson, Bud Wilson, Roger Wilson, Glenn Wilson, Louis Wilson, Allan Wilson and Dana Conaway and one infant great-grandson Dominic Hanneman.
Cremation has been accorded. A Gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, August 6, 2020 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. A private interment will take place at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth, IL. Memorials may be given to the Ella Hank Memorial Fund.
