October 15th through December 7th is the open enrollment period for Medicare. Strom Center is available for reviews, by appointment only, to enroll or switch plans. Director Carol McCrery states that the yellow medication sheets must be turned in first before scheduling a review:
“If anybody would like us to do a review, to see if the plan they have currently is still the best for next year, then they need to request a yellow medication form. We do have those in a basket in the front foyer, which we sanitize continually throughout the day. They can pick up as many of those medication forms and they don’t have to come into the building, just pick them up, take them home, fill them out, and then bring them back. We have to have those. We will not do any reviews without the yellow medication form. So we need to have a list of every medication, the dosage amount, and how many you are taking. Then we will put them in our program preferably before they ever come in for a review so we they do come in, we can show them which plans look really good for them,” McCrery shares.
Last year Strom Center reviewed 1,100 Medicare plans.
