Region 3 Mitigation Measures Begin Sunday

Share

New Region Three restrictions are set to start Sunday.  The 18-county area includes the state capital of Springfield and is facing COVID-19 mitigation measures.  The region exceeded the thresholds set in the Restore Illinois Resurgence Plan after having a positivity rate of eight-percent or above for three days in a row over the last week.  Governor J.B. Pritzker announced yesterday that restaurants and bars must stop serving people indoors, close at 11 p.m., require reservations, and only allow six people at one table.  Meetings, social events, and gatherings will also be limited to 25-percent of room capacity with a maximum of 25 people.
