Schuyler County Health Department Reported COVID Outbreak at Scripps Park Golf Course in Rushville

The Schuyler County Health Department (SCHD) is reporting an outbreak at Scripps Park Golf Course in Rushville. Public health officials have linked 3 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 to this location at this time. If you were at this location on 10/13/20, you may want to monitor for symptoms and get tested. Public health officials are working to identify and actively
monitor individuals who were in contact with the positive cases in an effort to reduce the risk of additional transmission. Scripps Park Golf Course is working with SCHD and following direction and guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and SCHD. Due to Federal privacy
restrictions, the release of any additional information on these cases is prohibited.

Individuals who may have been exposed to a positive COVID-19 individual should monitor for symptoms and are encouraged to get tested within 48 hours of onset of symptoms. An updated list of symptoms reported among patients with COVID-19 includes mild to severe respiratory illness with
fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of sense of taste and/or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea. If experiencing unmanageable symptoms of fever, cough, or shortness of breath, call your primary healthcare provider.

As of yesterday, Schuyler County has had 83 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 8 of which are currently active cases. The county is experiencing overall stable COVID-19 metrics and is no longer at Warning Level for the COVID-19 risk metrics. However, please consider this information when you make
decisions regarding your health and the health of your loved ones and community members, we would not want to see the county move backwards. Please continue to wash your hands and disinfect commonly touched surfaces frequently, wear a mask when you are around people who do not reside in your household, get tested then stay home when you have symptoms, and cooperate with the health department to trace your close contacts to help slow the spread of the virus.
