Stone Hayes Center Seeking Personal Assistants

Share

Stone Hayes Center for Independent Living continues to offer their services to anyone needing assistance throughout the pandemic. Currently Stones Hayes is seeking Personal Assistants for Knox, Warren, and Henderson Counties. Independent Living Advocate Lynn Voeller shares what being a Personal Assistant entails:

“A P.A. or Personal Assistant that goes into a home and will help somebody with everyday living skills that they are no longer able to do. It could be preparing meals, dressing, bathing, running errands, housework, so there are a variety of things that the people with disabilities unfortunately aren’t able to complete any longer. My biggest group of trainees right now would be three, but I will hold as many trainings a month as I can,” Voeller says.

Stone Hayes also has emergency COVID boxes available that contain masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, and other necessary items.
