Ervin J. “Bo” Hary Jr., 62, of Galesburg, died at 7:55 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2020, at home following a brief illness.

He was born May 27, 1958, in Anaheim, California, the son of Ervin J. and Bonnie (Cooley) Hary Sr.  He married Gayle Barry on August 12, 1988 in Crow Wing, Minnesota.  She preceded him in death.

He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Cordle of Henderson; two children, E.J. (Carol Huffman) Hary III and Maranda Hary, both of Galesburg; four grandchildren, Daniel Albert, Ervin J. Hary IV, Nevaeh Albert, and Aden Albert; a brother, Rick Hary of Henderson; three sisters, Sandy Hary of Minnesota, Cheryl (Rick) Main of Arkansas, and Florence Mackey of Galesburg; and his East End family.  He was also preceded in death by his father; a dear friend, Kathy Henness; and a brother, Tom Hary.

Bo worked in construction with Laborer’s Local 538.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting mushrooms.  He was a momma’s boy and loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He was known to enjoy a “beer or two”.

Cremation will be accorded.  The family is planning a “Bo Bo Bash” for Saturday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is honored to serve the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
