While the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Thanksgiving Luncheon will not be in-person this year, the chamber will host a virtual event on Thursday, November 19th at noon to reveal the year’s Thomas B Herring Award winner and a twist on the traditional event, informs Executive Director Pam Gaither:
“We will have a lot of the same elements that were in the traditional luncheon, including the State of the City of Galesburg with Mayor John Pritchard. We actually have a special guest speaker, Sarah and Matthew Hansen from Knox County Brewing Company. They are going to deliver a message of positivity and we are really excited about that. Then of course we are doing the Thomas B Herring award and we are kind of changing it COVID style, so it will actually be awarded live on the broadcast,” Gaither says.
Tickets for the virtual event can be found on the Galesburg Chamber’s website, Galesburg.org.
