Get Your Certification Applications in with the Monmouth Farm Service Agency

Share

The local NRCS and Farm Service Agency offices in Monmouth are back open for in-person services, but only by appointment only. District Conservationist Cathy Froelich breaks down the latest on the Farm Service Agency side:

“They have a certification deadline of July 15th. I know that is a long way out there, but call ahead right now and they will send you your certification maps, so that as soon as you get done planting you can go ahead and certify your crops. Remember, if you want to do your certification talking with someone in the office building, you have to call ahead and make that appointment. CRP is still ongoing. There has been no cutoff to the general signup that we had started back before the Presidential Election and Inauguration. No deadline yet on that is being heard. If you are still interested in CRP come in and talk to any of the FSA crew first.”

Meanwhile on the NRCS side, Froelich says letters have been sent out for reviews of those with highly erodible compliance land, which will be conducted when planting is completed, and conservation stewardship program applications are due May 7th.
