Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending April 28, 2024:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is senior girls soccer player, Joceline Raygoza. Joceline scored a hat trick of three goals in a win over East Peoria. She also put a total of three more goals in the back of the net in victories against Manual and Wapello, Iowa. Joceline is now the Titan record holder for total goals in a season.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is junior girls track and field athlete, Ava Anderson. Ava showed her extreme versatility in two meets last week. She posted four top-5 finishes at an invitational meet in Aledo, taking 2nd in the high jump, 3rd in the 300 meter hurdles, 5th in the 110 hurdle race and ran a leg on the 3rd place 4×800 meter relay race. At the United Invite later in the week, she earned two more top-3 finishes, as well.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is senior baseball player, Noah Lenahan. In four games last week, Noah batted a very solid .412, including an on-base-percentage of .474. He led the entire team in hits for the week, with seven. Noah also helped out on the pitching mound during the busy week, throwing 3 innings and giving up just one earned run.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is girls junior softball player, Annalisa Gibbons. Annalisa batted an even .500 in three Western Big Six Conference match ups. She led the team in doubles, with two. For the season, Annalisa leads the team in batting average and is second in total extra-base hits with four doubles and two home runs.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior softball player, Gabe Bryan. Gabe used her pitching arm and her bat to help the Tornadoes to a pair of important Lincoln Trail Conference wins last week. At the plate, she batted .500 for the entire week, leading the team extra-base hits. In the pitching circle, Gabe picked up a pair of wins, going 13 total innings, giving up just two earned runs with 10 strikeouts.
