Macomb man facing sexual abuse charge

The Macomb Police Department reports the arrest of an individual for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.
Macomb Police received a report that 24-year-old Bryan Matthews was having sexual conduct with a 16-year-old minor. During the course of the investigation, Macomb Police Investigators determined that Matthews engaged in inappropriate electronic communication and physical contact with the victim, which was sexual in nature.
The result of the investigation demonstrated probable cause for investigators to charge Matthews with Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse. He was taken into custody and lodged at the McDonough County Jail, awaiting a court hearing. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty.
