The Monmouth-Roseville Titans football team are seeking their first win of the year as they host a familiar rival, the Sherrard Tigers, to Coach Dobry Field for Homecoming Night on Friday night. Monmouth-Roseville nearly got their first W last week. The Titans took an 8-6 lead over Orion in the 4th quarter before the Chargers would score late to give the Titans their second loss of the season by a score of 13-8. Monmouth-Roseville sophomore quarterback Silas Braun has thrown for nearly 200 yards in each of the Titan’s two games this season. There’s been plenty of yards to go around as three Titan wide receivers have accumulated over 100 yards each on the season. Sherrard is (1-1) on the season, getting a 30-8 win over Riverdale in week one and losing to Rockridge 47-20 last week. The Tigers were only down 19-13 at one point in that one. Monmouth-Roseville won last season’s matchup 26-12, also at Coach Dobry Field in Monmouth. Monmouth-Roseville varsity head coach Jeremy Adolphson and junior varsity head coach Kevin Ferry stopped by the WRAM Morning Show studios on Friday morning for our TITAN TALK segment.
