Patricia Lynn Kenan, 59, passed away into the waiting arms of her parents and Lord, Jesus Christ on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 2:21 pm.

Pattie was born July 16, 1961 to Richard Lee and Carol (Hagan) Kenan in Galesburg, IL.

Patricia is survived by one brother, Richard (Diana) Kenan of Galesburg; one sister, Deborah (Kerry) Swanson of Wake Forest, NC; and a brother in law, Brent McNall of Aledo.  She also leaves behind  nieces and nephews, Emilie, Jesse, Drew, Kole, and Maddie with whom she had very loving and close relationships.  Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Herbert and Lucille Kenan, maternal grandparents, Patrick and Garnet Hagan, and one sister, Beckie McNall.

Pattie attended Galesburg schools and worked for many years at KCCDD workshop.  She resided at Clark Court in Galesburg where she developed loving and special friendships with all the residents and staff, especially Nikki, Paula, Julia, Ashley and Jennifer.

Pattie had a special and loving spirit.  She never met a stranger.  If you met her, you never forgot her laugh and sometimes oneryness.  Pattie loved music and loved to dance to the Golden Oldies, especially the Beach Boys.  Her favorite activities were going out to eat and taking rides in the car.  She traveled throughout the US in an RV with her family.  She will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank the entire ICU staff at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Dr. Nesselroad and Dr. Carpenter for their compassion and excellent care.  Also the staff from Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network for their loving support.

Cremation will be accorded.  Private family burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Galesburg.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to Special Olympics.  Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com
