Shirley J. Watson 89, of Roseville, Il passed away on June 15, 2021, at 11.02 p.m. at Seminary Manor in Galesburg. She was born March 5, 1932, the daughter of Emmett and Ara (Brown) Hensley. She married D. Max Thomas in July of 1950, he preceded her in death in 1972. Later she married Bus Watson in 1977 he also preceded her in death in 2009.

Shirley is survived by Debra Rosenberg (Bruce Fowler) of Galesburg, Don (Denise) Thomas of Avon, Dan (Cindy) Thomas of Apex, NC, Bryan (Dawn) Thomas of Ft. Meyers Beach, FL, a stepson Doug Watson, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one sister JoAnne Yoho of Abingdon

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 2 brothers, and one sister.

Shirley loved her beloved Roseville. She worked at the Roseville State Bank for 30 years. She was member of WCS, Woman’s Circle, Garden Club, and the Committee.  Member of Roseville United Methodist Church.  Shirley Had a soft spot for the Roseville Kids Place.

Funeral service will be Saturday June 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Roseville. Visitation will be Friday, June 18, 2021, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00p.m. at Wise family Funeral Home in Roseville. Burial will be in Roseville Township Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Roseville Community Center, Roseville Kids Place, or the Roseville United Methodist Church.
