Dianne Pettit, 73 of Monmouth, IL passed away at 9:19 pm, Thursday, July 8, 2021 at her home.

Dianne was born September 26, 1947 in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of Lyle and Margaret (Willett) Maritz.  She was raised and educated in Galesburg and Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1965. 

Dianne married James D. Pettit in Monmouth, IL on September 26, 1970 and he survives.

Dianne worked at Maytag in Galesburg, IL for 30 years before retiring in 1999.  She later worked at County Market in Monmouth for 20 years again retiring in 2020.

She enjoyed gardening, antiques, flea markets, going to yard sales and animals.  She loved spending time with her family and going to the many activities of her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Pettit of Monmouth, IL; her children, Brian (Melissa) Pettit of Galesburg, IL, Missy (Denny) Noel of Monmouth, IL and Angie (John) Moore of Monmouth, IL; her grandchildren, Ashton (Mallory) Hamby, Samantha (Jeremiah) Bresnahan, Chelsea (Dustin) Logsdon, Kaley (Chad) Eversgerd, Nikki (Wesley) Bellinger, Damon Moore, Hayley Moore, Jakob Pettit, Molly Pettit and bonus granddaughter, Chelsea Goad along with 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers, Andy Maritz and Pat Maritz.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL.  Cremation has been accorded.
