M-R Board of Education Approves Wrestling Co-Op; United Board Votes No

The Monmouth-Roseville Board of Education has approved a wrestling co-op with the United School District shares Superintendent Ed Fletcher:

“There have been some discussions about each of the programs. In talking it made sense to combine them for the benefit of both teams, especially when you have kids that have multiple weight classes. In some cases you may only have one wrestler in your program that might be in that weight class and no one really to practice against in your weight class.”

The United Board of Education voted against the co-op with Monmouth-Roseville at their meeting Thursday evening according to Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt.
