M-R Superintendent Fletcher Says Testing to Stay Has Been Helpful for Keeping Students in the Classroom

Each Monday, the Monmouth-Roseville School District posts their weekly COVID-19 update for the week prior. Last week, the district had 27 positive cases and currently 138 students are in quarantine; 86 from Lincoln, 12 at Harding, 10 at Central, 15 at the Junior High, and 15 at the High School. As navigating through COVID continues, Superintendent Ed Fletcher says it is based off of trust; that parents are keeping their sick child at home. Meanwhile, Superintendent Fletcher reports the Binex Test to Stay has been very beneficial:

“It is helping. We have caught several cases at each of our buildings. I will say more at Lincoln than the other schools. We have allowed about 15 kids to stay in school with the Test to Stay program. That’s 15 kids that would have normally had a 14 day quarantine is a win in our book. Even if it was one kid that we had allowed to stay, it’s a win in our books.”
