United Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt Says COVID Numbers are Trailing Down from Start of Year

Share

The United School District is currently reporting 17 quarantine students and 5 positive Covid-19 cases on Friday.  Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt explains:

“I’m not sure anyone is 100% sure how those exposures work necessarily, but a lot of our cases are another family member at home that’s tested positive and they have had to be excluded for that reason. We do have five positive cases in the district, which as strange as it is, our quarantine numbers are as good as they have been and that is probably as high as we have been with positives at one time too, kind of a strange anomaly there. Overall I think we are trending a good direction and despite in watching the county numbers and region numbers very close and I know there is some worry there with some of the numbers we are seeing, but thankfully we have been able to manage and maintain.”

United received their licensing to begin using the Binex testing.  The testing is primarily to be used for staff members to comply with the Governor’s vaccine mandate and testing of staff.
