Gabriel “Gabe” L. Randolph, 78, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 10:22 pm, Thursday, November 25, 2021 at his home.

Gabe was born June 20, 1943 in Monmouth, IL the son of Reuben and Annie L. (Henderson) Randolph. He was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1961. Upon his graduation, Gabe joined the United States Marine Corps from 1961- 1967.

Gabe married Carole Patterson in Monmouth, IL on May 22, 1965 and she survives.

Gabe was a professional truck driver. He drove for Munson Transportation for many years before going to work at Walmart for 27 years, retiring in 2018.

He was member of Calvary Baptist Church in Monmouth, IL. He also attended St. James AME Church in Monmouth.

Gabe loved spending time with his family and the many family reunions brought him joy. He also enjoyed watching football, sports, grilling, and going to his grandchildren’s many activities.

Survivors include his wife, Carole Randolph; his children, Garrick (Jackie) Randolph of Monmouth, IL and Isis Randolph-McCree of Seattle, WA; 5 grandchildren, Garren (Natalie) Randolph, Kaeleigh (Max) Randolph-Navas, Kyrrah Randolph, Aeysha Randolph-McCree, Jeylavin McCree; a niece/daughter, Kelia Patterson; 2 sisters, Ruby White and Debbie (Guy) Klinger both of Texas; 2 brothers, John Randolph of Aurora, IL and Reuben (Brenda) Randolph of Galesburg, IL; several nieces, nephews and honorary grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Garrian Randolph; and one sister.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 4, 2021 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Interment will be at Monmouth Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm Friday, December 3, 2021 at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Gabriel L. Randolph Memorial Fund.
