Lynnette was born on August 22, 1978 in Galesburg. She is the daughter of Harold “Nub” and Susan (Allen) Burmood. Lynnette married the love of her life, Nathan McKee on October 2, 2010 at the Rock Island Arsenal. She is survived by her loving husband; children, Patrick, Addison and Zachary all of Knoxville; her parents, Nub and Susan of Knoxville; siblings, Staci (Tony) Burmood-Ward of Knoxville, Jim (Shelley) Upson of East Galesburg and Ryan Burmood of Knoxville; her “Maca” Helen Maxwell of Galesburg; nieces and nephews, Joseph, Samantha, Miles, Alyssa and Adley, Allie and Lotus, Megan, Jimmy, Kalin, Bryce, Tim, Isaac and Maddie; mother-in-law, Carole (Ed) Isaac of Port Byron; sister-in-law, Melinda Almanza of East Moline; her special extended family, Jason, Katie, Kason and Ayden; and her beloved dog, Shotsy. She was preceded in death by her special Uncle Pat, Aunts Swede and Dixie, and her father-in-law, Jim McKee.

Lynnette was a 1996 graduate of Knoxville High School. She received her A.A.S. in Nursing at Carl Sandburg College and became a Registered Nurse. Lynnette began working for Genesis Health System in 2010 where she met many of her friends who quickly became her family. Prior to Genesis, Lynnette worked for OSF Holy Family in Monmouth, IL and Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, IL. Nursing is her passion found only second to her family. Lynnette is a natural born care giver and took pride in her nursing career. Her biggest pride and passion are her family. She loved spending time with her family and decorating for the holidays…especially Christmas. Lynnette’s smile, contagious cackle and sense of humor will be missed by those who loved her.
