Rosalie K. Watt, 79 of Altona, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, 5:53 AM at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

Rosalie was born on March 7, 1942 in Galesburg. She was the daughter of Earl and Darlene (Nelson) King. Rosalie married the love of her life, Marvin Watt on November 9, 1961. Together, they celebrated 59 years of marriage. Rosalie is survived by her loving husband, Marvin at home; children, Christina (Rodney) Greer of Auburn, AL, Robert (Nathalie Collins) Watt of Ventura, CA and Mark (Marlene) Watt of Abingdon; siblings, Bonnie King of Galesburg, Cathy King of Independence, MO, Darrell (Marlene Linder) King of Victoria, Becky Zonker of Littleton, CO, Beth (Tom) Prout of Kansas City, MO and Colleen (Kevin) Tripp of West Point, IA; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Brad.

Rosalie graduated from Galva High School and then she attended cosmetology classes at Graceland College in Iowa. Rosalie was a homemaker. She was a member of Choral Dynamics, and produced two shows with her daughter, Christina. She was also a Sunday School coordinator and teacher, and was PTO president for her children’s school district. In her free time, Rosalie enjoyed reading, gardening and canning.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory, Knoxville, funeral services will follow visitation at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation rites will follow services.  Due to the new COVID-19 Mask Mandate, the funeral home will maintain compliance and ask that guests wear a mask.  Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory have been entrusted with arrangements. Memorials may be donated to Choral Dynamics. On-line condolences and/or expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com.
