Mary Dean Arnold, 68, of Mesa, Arizona formerly of Galesburg, Illinois passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021, at her home.

Mary was born August 5, 1953, in Kirksville, Missouri the daughter of Harold Dean and Mary Evaun (Mathes) Arnold.

Left to cherish her memories are her three sisters: Deanna Bryant of Goodyear, Arizona, Linda (Toby) Machler of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Connie (Harland) Schroeder of Indianapolis, Indiana; five nieces, Anne Machler of Queen Creek, Arizona, Lisa (Scott) Sowada and Dawn (Jeremie) Waterfield both of Goodyear, Arizona,  Heather (Dave) Burhenn, and Megan (Greg) Baranowski both of Indianapolis; great nieces and nephews, Jordan (Cody) Scott, Tyler, Cameron and Katelyn Waterfield, Garrett and Nick Burhenn and Reese and Brooks Baranowski and one great great nephew Logan Scott. Mary also had two fur babies that she rescued, Lucy and Vivien.

Mary graduated from Galesburg High School in 1972 and was a former member of the First Christian Church. Mary worked as an administrative support person for numerous banks and insurance companies in the Mesa area.

Mary was an avid Chicago Cubs fan until moving to Arizona. She then embraced all Arizona sports teams, the Cards, the D-Backs, the Suns, and the Sun Devils. She also loved flowers, sunsets, the desert landscape, and mountains which are often depicted in the Arizona Highways Magazine.

Visitation is scheduled for 10:00-11:00 am Thursday December 16, 2021, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Services will follow at 11:00 am at the chapel with Chaplain Jordan Knight officiating. Due to guidelines associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and facemasks will be required with limited occupancy. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Guardian Angel Humane Society. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
