When approaching a stopped emergency vehicle along the roadway, motorists are required to slow down, change lanes safely when possible, and proceed with caution, but what is the proper protocol when it comes to an emergency vehicle using lights and sirens coming up behind you or the opposite direction, Monmouth Fire Captain Craig Cozadd clarifies:
