Hy-Vee Remains Committed to Coming to the Monmouth Community

While there is no timetable yet on when Hy-Vee will move into the former Shopko building, they remain committed to the Monmouth Community. Mayor Rod Davies informs Hy-Vee expressed they were completing things internally due to the change in shopping behavior patterns:

“They indicated that they had some things they were going to do internally. They were building the remote grocery pick-up kiosks and they were spending some corporate funds there and that they were doing some internal reorganization with some other stores, which we have seen come to pass. I’m sure that is fueling some of the speculation, but again the last contact we had they indicated they were still committed to Monmouth.”
