Ralph D. Nalley, SR., 67, of Galesburg, died at 3:42 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.
Ralph was born October 12, 1954 in Hardingsburg, KY the son of Franklin D. and Faye (Babb) Nalley. He married Virginia L. “Jenny” McKenzie on June 13, 1986 in Galesburg. Ralph is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jenny; three sons, Ralph David (Alanna) Nalley of Galesburg, Johnnie (DeeAnn) Howard of Lowell, IA, and Daniel (Liz) Howard of Galesburg; one daughter, Jimmye (Kevin) Kraus of Memphis, MO; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Ralph is also survived by one brother, Kenneth Nalley of Galesburg; two sisters, Regina (Garl) Elliott of Galesburg and Wanda Morris of Galesburg; and 5 nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by one sister, Jenny E. Nalley; and his grandparents, Sidney and Cattie Nalley and Ed and Dorothy Babb.
Ralph worked many years in Galesburg spending the last 12 years working for Blick Art Supplies, retiring in 2019. He was of the Christian faith. Ralph enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing. He also loved to bowl, play board games, and card games.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2022 at Hope Cemetery, Warren County, rural Galesburg, IL. No visitation will be held. Memorials may be made in Ralph’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choosing. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
