Man Arrested For Fraudulent Property Purchase

An eastern Iowa man is accused of fraudulently buying property.  Trevor Johnston of West Burlington was arrested yesterday and charged with first-degree theft and forgery.  Johnston’s accused of using fraudulent documents to gain ownership of a one-hundred-ten-thousand-dollar home in Danville.  The sellers of the house had lost over one-hundred-nine-thousand-dollars in selling the house to Johnston before the fraudulent documents were discovered.  The property’s ownership has since been returned to them.
