Another School Year End in Sight

Share

Only five weeks remain until the end of the school year at United. 60 seniors will be graduating on Sunday, May 15th and Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt shares students will be heading in multiple directions:

“We’ve had a pipeline recently it seems like to Iowa State. I think that is mostly our ag kids. We have a huge ag population in our schools, so I hear that name a lot. I know we have a couple that will be going to the University of Illinois. Right now, with the Sampson Promise, we are seeing a lot more kids over the last probably five to six years, a lot more kids heading the junior college route; going to Carl Sandburg for 61 hours for free. We are seeing a lot more of that. I know we have some going to Monmouth College.”

Meanwhile, United will hold their awards and scholarships night on Wednesday, May 4th at the high school.
