Monmouth-Roseville Softball Enjoying Early Season Power Surge

Share

The Monmouth-Roseville softball team has gotten their offense going into high-gear early this season…..especially the last several games. The Titans are (2-4) this season but have 56 hits in those first six games for a batting average of over .350. They’ve also shown some power throughout the lineup, producing a slugging percentage of well over .500. That includes five out-of-the-park home runs and double-digit doubles as a team.

The Titans defeated United 11-7 on April 4th, due in part to the team putting together 19 hits, including a pair of home runs from Karleigh Ashby and Cristina Dilley. Monmouth-Roseville fell to West Hancock the following night by a score of 7-4. However, they managed to outhit West Hancock in the ball game and got another homer from Ashby. Head coach Jarrod Hippen is proud of the way his team is currently hitting the ball, including Senior Karleigh Ashby, who has gotten on base all in each of her last 9 plate appearances, going 8-for-8 during that stretch.
