The opening of the new emergency department on the OSF HealthCare Holy Family campus is another step closer. Lisa DeKezel, OSF St. Mary and Holy Family President, says the Blessing and Dedication was recently held, however an opening date is still pending:

“We had a wonderful outstanding turnout and just incredible showing of support from our community, our dedicated donors, and OSF HealthCare’s team as we continue our commitment to serve our rural communities. We were just very excited to share this beautiful space. We are still pending the delivery of just a few pieces for that door equipment and then we will be ready to open that up for our final survey by the Illinois Department of Public Health to get the stamp of approval to open that space for occupancy. We are currently working through move-in schedules and that transition. We hope to be in that department here by the first part of June.”

The new Emergency Department was a $6 million project.
