Monmouth College Softball Clinches MWC Tournament Spot With Wins Over the Weekend

The Monmouth College sports teams were busy this past weekend, but the Scots Softball team had the most exciting weekend. The Scots first game on Friday against rival Knox broke a school record for longest game, taking 18 innings to finish. The Scots would end up gutting out a 5 to 4 win over the Prairie Fire. A series sweep of Cornell on Sunday gave the team a berth in the upcoming Midwest Conference Tournament. Sports Information Director, Nathan Baliva at Monmouth College with more on the success from the softball team.

The Scots play a rematch with Knox on Monday, then finish an unfinished game at Illinois College to close out the regular season.
