The Monmouth College sports teams were busy this past weekend, but the Scots Softball team had the most exciting weekend. The Scots first game on Friday against rival Knox broke a school record for longest game, taking 18 innings to finish. The Scots would end up gutting out a 5 to 4 win over the Prairie Fire. A series sweep of Cornell on Sunday gave the team a berth in the upcoming Midwest Conference Tournament. The Scots play a rematch with Knox on Monday, then finish an unfinished game at Illinois College to close out the regular season.
