Following a jail incident, the Warren County State’s Attorney’s Office announce new felony charges for two Warren County inmates.
On April 27th, Mulleek Odomes, 20, and Nathan Perez, 18, were charged with Aggravated Battery on Warren County Sheriff’s Office employees. Perez is charged with intentionally injuring a corrections officer. Odomes is charged with assaulting another officer. He is further charged with two counts of resisting a peace officer causing injuries to both officers.
Odomes is serving a sentence of 180 days, handed down in December of last year. He pled guilty to charges of driving under the influence of drugs, resulting in a collision. Three people in another car, two of them children, suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash. Odomes remains on probation in that case.
Perez is in jail awaiting trial for charges of Attempted First Degree Murder and firearms charges related to an early morning shooting April 2. After preliminary hearing Perez pled not guilty and demanded a jury trial. Perez was free on bond awaiting trial for Burglary charges when the shooting took place. He is due in court for a jury pretrial hearing May 18 on both those cases.
Both Odomes and Perez are due back in court the morning of Tuesday May 3rd for court appearances on the new charges.
