Patricia Cratty, 93, of Galesburg died Friday, June 10, 2022, at Seminary Manor.

Patricia was born October 21, 1928 in Galesburg, the daughter of Earl and Dorothy (Farrell) Morrison.  Patricia graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1946.  She married John D. Cratty on May 15, 1954, at Corpus Christi Church, Galesburg.  Patricia was a homemaker, mother and caretaker who worked at times for Western Zero Locker, A & P Foods, Butler Manufacturing, Burlington Credit Union and First National Bank.

Patricia’s greatest joy in life from an early age was family.  She helped her parents care for her siblings following the Great Depression, took loving care of her husband and children and excelled in the role of grandmother and aunt.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John after 41 years of marriage, a son Michael and daughter-in-law Karen, brothers, James (Eileen), William and Robert Morrison, two infant siblings and a niece and nephew.

Patricia is survived by her sons John (Darla), David (Bess) and Steve (Sharon) Cratty, her grandchildren Sean (Emmy), J.P., Debbie, Kyle (Kelly), Patrick, Brandon (Melissa), Mark (Taylor) Cratty and Abby, Natalie and Jenna Heck.  Patricia was proud of her 10 great grandchildren.  Survivors also include her brother Donald (Patricia) Morrison, sister Mary (Richard) Eacott, sisters-in-law, Ingeburg and Teddie Morrison and her many nieces and nephews.  A long list, but the newest member of the family was as important to Patricia as the most senior member.

Along with her deep love for family and friends she enjoyed her church activities at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.  Patricia was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, scheduled altar servers, tracked pledges to build Costa High School and worked many luncheons and events at the church and St. Joseph’s Academy where her children attended.  In her later years she had the pleasure of traveling with her husband and visiting her brother Don and sister Mary in the warmer climates of Florida and California during the winter months.

Public visitation will be 5 to 7 PM with Rosary to follow Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, June 15 at 10 AM Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Galesburg.  Pastor Lee Brokaw will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry or Hospice Compassus.  Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
