Local Scholarships Available for Those Applying in Commercial Driving Programs

For the next five years, the Illinois Farm Bureau and the IAA Foundation will be funding Driving Agriculture Forward scholarships for those applying to go through a commercial driving program, explains Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau Manager Gina Sanberg:

“If you yourself or if you know of anyone who is working toward getting their CDL with the training that people need to get that license, Farm Bureau has set aside some funds to help people who need to go through that schooling. Applicants who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a commercial driving program at an Illinois community college are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. There will be five $1,000 scholarships awarded every three months, which is based on the Illinois Farm Bureau region where the applicant resides.”

More information can be obtained by contacting the Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau at 309-734-9401.
