Norma J. Glass, 91, formerly of Oneida, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg.

Norma was born on May 19, 1931 in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was the daughter of Harrison and Ann (Carruthers) Sever. She married Jack N. Glass in 1948. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1999. Norma is survived by her daughters, Jacalyn Smith of Cumming, Ga, and Nancy Benson of Florida; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, Larry, a half-brother.

Norma was a member of the United Church of Oneida. She enjoyed quilting, china painting, oil painting watching television, play games and mowing the yard. She was very talented and could do anything. Most of all, Norma loved spending time with her friends and family.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 26, 2022 at the United Church of Oneida, 107 South Joy Street, Oneida, IL 61467. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory, Oneida will be assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be donated to the family in care of Jacalyn Smith or to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
