Monmouth College Band Continues to Grow

Share

Since joining the Monmouth College community, Marching Band Director John Eckstine has looked to expand the band by involving members of the community:

“We are trying to grow all the time. We are looking for additional members whether it is high school, college, or the community. I do know that one of the things we are absent of in Marching Band is a Color Guard. We are going to look at the possibility of having some sort of what they call an Indoor Winter Color Guard this year at the college, more so I would say to perform for basketball games and something to give us a little headway into next marching season into building and putting a Color Guard on the field. A little like what I did last year with the Pep Band, which will be back and playing again.”

Those interested in performing alongside the Monmouth College Band can contact Eckstine by email, jeckstine@monmouthcollege.edu.
