Amid Ongoing Growth, KCAP President Ken Springer Has Concern for What is to Come

Share

Currently in the inflation cycle throughout the world, retailers remain to expand. Knox County Area Partnership President Ken Springer attributes the growth to consumers continuing to spend money, but also has some concerns:

“There is still a lot of demand. The reason you have inflation is because everybody is spending money and when it is a market where there is lots and lots of consumers spending money, then you are going to see industries starting to expand to take advantage of those opportunities. I think it is great to see that there is still a lot of constructions crews out there and cranes and barrels and all that good stuff; I mean I think that is good. My concern for the coming year is kind of the same concern I have for every recession and that is how long is it going to be and how deep is it going to go and I don’t think anybody can really answer that at this point.”
