David W. Barry, 49, of Monmouth, Il passed away at 8:10 am, Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

David was born October 18, 1972 in Monmouth, Il, the son of William Hillman and Patricia Barry.  He was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School.

David married Maudie Dixon in Monmouth in 1992.  He later married Malinda Murphy in Monmouth on September 10, 2022 and she survives.

David worked at Farmland and later Maple City Pottery.  He was a volunteer firefighter in Oquawka for several years.  He belonged to a local dart team and loved to fish.

Survivors include his wife; 4 children, Rebecca Barry of Galesburg, IL; Mackenzie Sherwood, Mateo Murphy and Allison Murphy of all of Monmouth; 1 grandson, Kendryk Richard Poole of Galesburg; his mother, Patricia Barry of Monmouth; his brother, Brian (Julianna) Greenhaw of South Carolina; his best buds, David Hammit of Oquawka and Andrew Seward of North Carolina; nephews, Bobby Downs, Markus Munson and Michael Greenhaw; his niece, Dahlia Grennhaw; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Angel Downs.

Cremation has been accorded.  A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.  Memorials may be given to the David Barry Memorial Fund to defray funeral costs and sent to the funeral home.
