Terrie L. Kissell, 67, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 1:50 am, Thursday, October 6, 2022 at her home.
Terrie was born July 27, 1955 in Franklin, PA, the daughter of H. Thomas and Emily (Larson) Kissell. She was raised and educated in Titusville, PA and graduated from Titusville High School. Terrie later attended Edinboro & Clarion College at the University of Pittsburg.
Terrie served in the United States Army from 1976 to 1980 in Alaska. She earned her pharmacy technician certificate while in the Army.
Terrie worked for many years as a pharmacy technician at Walgreens in Galesburg and Shopko in Monmouth. She enjoyed reading and spending time at the Warren County Library. Terrie loved to be outdoors, cross country skiing, walking at Monmouth Park, riding her bicycle, and crocheting. She enjoyed drinking tea, praising God, helping her neighbors, finding fun in ordinary life, and playing with her grandchildren. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Terrie was a devoted member of the Heritage Bible Church in Monmouth.
Surviving Terrie is one daughter, Melissa Norvell of Monmouth, IL; one son, Keith Schonfelder of Monmouth, IL; her grandchildren, Adam Norvell, Abby Norvell, Katelyn Norvell, and Sara Norvell all of Monmouth. Also surviving is one sister, Thomas Ann Sample of Pennsylvania; two nephews, Michael & David Sample of Pennsylvania; one niece, Rebekah Sample of Pennsylvania; two great nephews, Nathaniel & Izek; and devoted friend and bicycling partner, Russ Mason of Monmouth, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth, IL. No visitation hours are planned. Memorials can be made to the Haven Ministries or her grandchildren. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
