Don’t Let Porch Pirates Ruin the Holidays

Share

The holiday season is a prime opportunity for the so called “porch pirates” to make their move and steal those packages delivered to your doorstep. Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer advises taking those packages inside as soon as possible:

“Keep an eye on your packages when they get delivered. If you are at home, get them off your porch. If you have some type of security coverage, keep an eye on your packages after they get delivered. Most people nowadays get alerts via their cellphone when a package gets delivered, keep an eye on that, and get that package off your front porch as fast as you can.”

Additionally, while you are out and about remember to lock your car and keep valuables out of plain sight.
