Patricia A. Waymoth, 87, of Henderson, died at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022, in OSF St. Mary Medical Center.

She was born August 14, 1935, in Macomb, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary K. (Shannon) McCormick.  She married Jerome K. Waymoth on November 5, 1955, in Alexis.

She is survived by her husband of over 67 years, Jerome; a son, Paul (Diane) Waymoth of rural Knoxville; two grandsons, Nathan and Christopher; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, B. James McCormick of Little Rock, Arkansas; a sister, Connie (Russell) Brant of Springfield, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Lola Stark of Carlinville.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons in infancy, Kenneth and Stuart; and a brother, Bill McCormick.

Patricia was a devoted homemaker.  She also worked in the catalog departments of Sears and JC Penney for a time.  She was a dedicated, active member of First Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir for over 60 years.  She was a part of several committees there and was involved with the session that formed the church’s children’s group.  Patricia enjoyed sewing and traveling, especially to Europe with Jerome.

Patricia’s wishes were to be cremated.  No visitation or service is planned at this time.  Private family burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery at a later date.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services of Galesburg is honored to serve the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
