Juvenile Arrested for Burglary and Criminal Damage to Property in Henderson County

On Monday, January 9th, 2023 the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office arrest a male juvenile for Residential Burglary and Criminal Damage to Property. 

At approximately 3:56pm, the Hancock/Henderson 911 dispatch center received a 911 call of a residential burglary in progress in Stronghurst, IL. The suspect had entered the residence and caused damage to property inside. The suspect exited the residence, stripped their clothing and was standing outside naked. When Deputy arrived they encounter the suspect and detained them. Do to the the suspects demeanor and actions an ambulance was called to the scene. The suspect was transported to a local hospital and evaluated. They were then released from the hospital and arrested. Due do the suspect’s age, being a juvenile; they were transported to the Knox County Mary Davis Juvenile Detention Center. The juvenile is currently being housed at the Mary Davis Center awaiting court appearances. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Illinois State Police, Stronghurst Police, and the Stronghurst Ambulance Service. 

The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
