Bushnell Man Charged with Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse

On February 13, 2023, the McDonough County States Attorney authorized charges against Thomas J. Hardi, 34, of Bushnell, IL.  Hardi, who is currently lodged in the McDonough County Jail, was charged with Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse of a victim between the ages of 13-17.  This was pertaining to an ongoing criminal investigation. 

Hardi, was originally charged in November of last year by the McDonough County Sheriff’s Office with Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault.  McDonough County Sheriff’s Detectives have conducted multiple interviews over the past several weeks and continue to investigate case.

The McDonough County States Attorney’s Office and the Bushnell Police Department assisted in the investigation.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
