Beverly Ann Baughman, 87, of Woodhull, Illinois, died peacefully at her daughter Teri’s home in Bettendorf, Iowa, Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

Beverly was born February 25, 1936 in Keokuk, Iowa the daughter of Cleo and Clara (Vogel) Varner. Beverly is survived by one son, Skip (Tracy) Baughman of Bettendorf, Iowa; two daughters, Teri (Chris) Boone of Bettendorf, Iowa and Candi (Mike) Mueller of Woodhull. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Geoff, Morgan, Hunter (Meagan), CJ, Taylor, and Tobi; and two great grandchildren, Camdin and Veronica. Along with her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by one son, Scotty; four brothers; and two sisters.

Beverly worked at Maytag for 27 years, retiring in 2000. Not being one to sit around, Beverly continued to work several different part time jobs after retiring from Maytag. She was a faithful Catholic and enjoyed thrift shopping and watching murder mysteries. She loved to clean, cook and anything she could do to care for her family. Beverly had a deep love for dogs, especially her faithful companion, Stokley.

Cremation has been accorded. Memorial visitation will be Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Funeral Mass will follow 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Galesburg. Burial will follow at Abingdon Cemetery, Abingdon, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society or to the Catholic Church of your choice. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
