Fulton County Deputies Respond to Structure Fire in Lewistown

On 03/17/23 at 0432 hours, deputies from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a structure fire at 202 E. Sunnyland Court, Lewistown. On arrival at the scene, deputies learned that there was at least one occupant still inside the residence. Deputies made entry to the residence and while dealing with heavy smoke and limited visibility, located a female resident that was unable to extricate herself from the residence. Deputies were able to remove the female resident and were also notified that there was a male resident still inside. Deputies made a second entry point into the residence, extinguished an active fire, and located the male in the rear of the residence. With assistance from the Lewistown Fire Department, the male was removed from the residence. Both occupants of the residence were transported from the scene for medical treatment.

Fulton County Sheriff’s Office deputies were assisted by the Lewistown Fire Department, Cuba Fire Department, BuckHeart Fire Department, Ipava Fire Department, and Fulton County EMS.
